Finally, iOS 13 features a redesigned HUD volume. The fresh volume slider sits on the screen’s left side where the buttons are up and down. It first appears as a large bulbous slider, but then shrinks to a slender line that is more discreet.
The HUD volume had become the butt of many iOS community jokes as the ancient UI was a big square overlay covering the screen core. The fresh appearance is narrower and shrinks after a beat to an even lower presentation.
Once the volume HUD is noticeable, you can move it up and down with your finger as well as the volume buttons — reminiscent of the Control Center slider.
The volume slider appears in the center of the top of the screen when the device is in the landscape.
