On 13 October Apple launched smartphones of the iPhone 12 series. The company announced that the newly launched smartphones will not be shipping a charging adapter and EarPods.
France, however, requires that smartphones be shipped with headsets, and apart from changing telephone package size, Apple has provided EarPods with the iPhone 12.
Apple has doubled boxed the iPhone 12 in France in order to include EarPods. Why Apple did so? Apple could just have used a slightly wider box of the iPhone 12, which would be much environmentally friendlier, for France, in order to accommodate earphones rather than two boxes. This is how Apple ships in France the newly introduced iPhone.
