year has some serious features to offer. Among that is the ability to disable
the already captured Depth Effect photos in Portrait Mode. You can easily edit
and enable or disable the Depth Effect that were taken in Portrait Mode.
Portrait Mode is an exclusive feature on iPhone 7 Plus that creates a blurry
effects to the background giving it a virtual depth of field also known as
Depth Effect.
Previously in iOS 10, you were able to save
either the Depth Effect photo only or save both normal and Depth Effect photos
which would take a lot of space on your iPhone. But with the help of iOS 11 new
API and HEIC encoded image format, you will be able to take only one photo and
later enable or disable the Depth Effect on your photos.

Step 1: Launch Photos and find an image
with Depth Effect
Step 2: Tap the Edit Button
Step 3: At the top of your screen, you
will see a Depth Effect Button in Yellowish Color. (This means the Depth Effect
is enabled on that Photo)
