Rumors about 2019 iPhones have been surrounding already. Jean Baptiste Su, Vice-President and Principal Analyst at consulting firm Atherton Research says that the upcoming 2019 iPhone will come with a smaller notch, in display Touch ID and a USB C port just like the latest iPad Pro.
Although we believe that Apple will release a re-designed iPhone X in 2019—with a smaller notch, a fingerprint reader (Touch ID) under the display, and a USB-C port—it will still lack the extensibility (memory card), the battery life, the lightning-fast charging capability, and the camera quality of Android flagship smartphones while being more expensive.
This is not the first time we have seen this type of rumor but we will definitely see this changes to the 2019 iPhone as it’s also the right time to change the design of the new phones. Apple usually brings new changes to its iPhone every two years.
This means we will definitely see USB Type C port for better fast charging and connect extenal devices to iPhone. Also about the in display Touch ID, Apple was first rumored to bring it on their phone. Maybe they are testing it to make it more secure. And also Apple might shrink the notch size for more space on the screen and make it more beautiful.
