No New Design for 2018 iPhone Models

Apple is launching three new iPhone models this year but the latest report suggests that it won’t have any changes in terms of design.

The report comes from Bloomberg that claims that the 2018 iPhone models will be rather an “S” upgrade to the previous iPhone. This means the handset will be upgraded internally with more power and speed but no design change.

We have been seeing the same thing for other iPhone model such as iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S, iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S and so on. But last year Apple broke the chain by launching iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X without launching iPhone 7S, iPhone 7S Plus and iPhone 9. The reason was that of the 10th anniversary of Apple iPhone. But it seems that Apple will continue the “S” line again.

However, none of the three iPhones will be wholly new designs like the iPhone X was last year or the iPhone 6 in 2014, with some inside Apple labeling the launch as an “S year,” a designation the company has given to new handsets that retain the previous design but add new internal features. The company is planning more significant changes for next year, they added.

So basically, we will see an iPhone with upgraded internals and camera. However, the main highlight of this years iPhone will be the bigger version, iPhone X Plus. The handset is claimed to support dual-SIM connectivity and split screen feature.

Apple is set to launch all three iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad and more this September. Signup to our newsletter to be updated everything about Apple News and Rumors!
