Kuo said wireless
charging increases the internal temperature of smartphones, so he expects
the rumored iPhone 8 with an OLED display and glass casing to have a
new 3D Touch module with “additional graphite sheet
lamination” in order to prevent the device from malfunctioning due to
overheating.

The new 3D Touch module could cost $5 more expensive for Apple per iPhone unit.
Although that is a minimal increase, but a report claiming iPhone 8 could cost more than $1,000 due
to a significant redesign and the use of many new components.

Kuo previously
said iPhone 8 will feature 3D Touch Technology with higher pressure sensitive
sensors
with flexible OLED display. Kuo expects Apple to switch from
an “FBCB sensor to a film sensor,” which means it will feature a wider range of
3D Touch pressure levels, and an overall higher sensitivity. Also Apple is
working on an optical fingerprint sensor for iPhone 8 which may eventually
replace fingerprint scanning with full-face recognition for
authentication and unlock.
In addition,
iPhone 8 will have a High quality Gorrilla Glass, Liquid metal frame,
6.9mm thin,5.8inch OLED edge to edge
display

,
Touch ID built into display, Second touch sensitive display on lower bezel,
Smart connector, 10nm A11 chip, Dual 12mp wide angle + telephoto
lens vertical
3D camera technology.
