How to automatically close Safari tabs on iPhone and iPad in iOS 13

Does Safari have open tabs on your iPhone and iPad? With the option of automatically closing Safari tabs after a certain period of time, iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 look to simplify things. Follow this new feature for a look.

Similar to features Apple has rolled out to other iOS areas, such as the Messages app, a new option will automatically close Safari tabs after a day, a week, or a month.

Currently, iOS 13 is only available as a beta developer, but Apple says the public beta is coming in July. Keep in mind that running a beta on your primary iPhone is usually not ideal as there will be different bugs, instability, and issues such as reduced battery life.

How to automatically close Safari tabs on iPhone and iPad in iOS 13

  1. Open Settings
  2. Swipe down and tap Safari
  3. Swipe down again and choose Close Tabs
  4. Select After One Day, After One Week, or After One Month
