Facebook has announced a new cryptocurrency called ‘Libra’ and a new subsidiary called ‘Calibra’ that will provide financial service to those taking an interest in the Libra network.
Libra is a simple global currency and financial infrastructure that empowers billions of people that will profit far and wide as simple and cheap as sending an instant message. It was structured in association with 27 different organizations including Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, and others.
