According to the analyst Merrill Lynch of Bank of America, Apple might launch an foldable iPhone somewhere in 2020. He believes that Apple is already working with its component suppliers to make the foldable iPhone into reality.
Previously, we already heard similar rumor that Apple had been testing foldable displays with LG and may be this rumor is about to be true within upcoming two years.
“We expect the iPhones this fall to be largely unchanged for the OLED versions although size changes have proved to be a catalyst in the past,” analyst Wamsi Mohan wrote in a note to clients Friday. “Our checks also suggest that Apple is working with suppliers on a foldable phone (that potentially could double up as a tablet) for launch in 2020.”
Lenovo and Samsung have already developed foldable screen concept device but the product has not been finalized yet.
Let’s see how Apple comes up to compete against the foldable screen technology in near future.
