Apple allows untethered “Hey Siri” feature in iOS 11/10 that makes you easy to communicate over your voice commands. Hey Siri now works even if your device disconnect from the power. Hey Siri works on iPhone or iPad running iOS 10, 11 or later.
Whenever you try to ask anything with Siri from iPhone/iPad, simply command your voice as “Hey Siri”, it activates and helps you search the things you wanted.
But sometimes Untethered Hey Siri can create a problem and may be annoying because if some body or when people unintentionally commands with loud voice saying Hey Siri, it wake up your iPhone and activates the Siri immediately with built-in ambient light and proximity sensors.
Activating the Siri “Hey Siri” is not the good way so you may need to disable Untethered “Hey Siri” temporary.
How to Enable and Disable “Hey Siri” Temporary
Disabling the Hey Siri on iPhone is little tricky as there is only way to disable Hey Siri completely. But we are here talking to disable the Hey Siri temporarily.
For this you don’t need to go to Siri Setting anymore. Just face down your iPhone/iPad, it will stop responding and deactivates the “Hey Siri” command unless your device gets connected to power again.
But if your face up your iPhone, Untethered “Hey Siri” activates immediately and let you search anything for you. It’s amazing ! So it is better to disable Hey Siri temporary rather than disabling completely because it can consume more time to enable or disable via Settings.
Note: Make sure that Fitness Tracking is enable in your device. You can enable it via Settings → Privacy → Motion & Fitness.
How to Enable and Disable “Hey Siri” Completely
Go to Settings >> Siri & Search >> Turn on the Hey Siri switch to enable it and Turn Off the Hey Siri toggle switch to disable completely.
How to Use Siri on iPhone?
Using Siri helps you a lot. To use Siri on iPhone, you need to enable it first by going into Settings >> Siri & Search and turn on the toggle switch of all the option like Listen for “Hey Siri”, Press Side Button for Siri, Allow Siri When Locked.
Now when you command “Hey Siri” or pressing the Side button on iPhone X and pressing Home button on older iPhones activates the Siri.
