Apple has now seeded the first public beta test of macOS Catalina, a major update to the company’s desktop operating system which was announced at WWDC event.
Catalina is bringing the death of iTunes and brand new music, podcasts, and a TV app. iOS device synchronization has shifted to Finder.
Apple also allows consumers to use their iPad as their Mac’s second screen. This function is branded as ‘ Sidecar. ‘
Similarly, Screen Time also comes to the Mac, allowing users to combine their activity graphs and screen limitations across any Apple device.
macOS Catalina Public beta 1 is available to download for developers from the Software Update tab from the System Preference.
If you are a new member, please enroll your Mac. If you are currently testing macOS Mojave, please install the macOS Catalina public beta from Software Update in System Preferences.
