Apple launches new second-generation AirPods 2 and now available from the company’s website and Amazon, for $159 with Charging Case, and $199 with Wireless charging case.
This new AirPods 2 looks similar to the previous generation AirPods model but with the improvement under the hood. It now comes with H1 chip for improved pairing speed and always on “Hey Siri”, connect times, more talk time, 2x faster switching between active devices, 30 percent lower gaming latency, 1.5x faster connection time for phone calls and more.
For the first time, the new AirPods 2 also comes with a wireless charging case that can be charged wirelessly with any wireless charger. As for the price, it costs the same as the previous generation AirPods that does not include the wireless charging case but if you want the wireless charging case then you need to add $40 more.
Also if you would like to add a wireless charging case to your old AirPods, you can buy it separately for $79.
Should I buy new AirPods?
There’s something new in AirPods 2 except its design. If you don’t care about the design but want to experience the wireless charging feature, Hey Siri then you can upgrade it. But this time Apple is offering a separate wireless charging case for $79 and by which you can make similar as new AirPods 2 excluding the built-in feature. Or if you are buying a new AirPods for the first time then you can go for the newer one.
I think many of us might be in confusion about whether to upgrade the new one or not. No worries, we will discuss the differences between the first and second generation AirPods so that you can decide for the best.
