There may be certain situation where you may not able to speak and command Siri to do certain things for example: in library or at work place. Some people may have problem with speaking or some may not have a good accent. In this case, the “Type to Siri” feature in iOS 11 comes handy.

So here is how to Type in Siri instead of Speaking in iOS 11. Before you could start Typing in Siri, you need to enable “Type to Siri” from the Siri Settings.

Step 1: Go to Settings
Step 2: Tap on General – Accessibility – Siri
Step 3: Now enable the “Type to Siri” option located on the top of Siri Settings
After the “Type to Siri” is enabled, all you need to do is press and hold the Home Button. A keyboard will pop up where you can easily type your queries instead of speaking into Siri.

Step 1: Invoke Siri by long pressing on Home Button
Step 2: Say something like time or weather
Step 3: You will see “tap to edit” below the word you spoke, Tap on it
Step 4: Now start typing you queries into it and tap done
Step 5: It will then respond your request for you. Keep repeating the process by tapping on “tap to edit” button until you finish commanding Siri.
