According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is expected to update its new
15-inch MacBook Pro with Intel’s Kaby Lake architecture and 32GB of desktop RAM
in 2017.
As research by AppleInsider, Apple is predicted to start manufacturing of a 15-inch MacBook Pro with up to 32GB of RAM in the fourth quarter 2017, the new MacBook will be forced to adopt desktop RAM due to restrictions of current memory system designs.
As for the 12-inch MacBook, Kuo believes that next-generation 12-inch MacBook versions of the thin-and-light will enter mass production in the second quarter with the same basic design aesthetic introduced in 2015 with 16GB memory option with intel’s new processor.
